R.I.P. Tiny "Monkey" , Nov6 2006-Dec25 2009

Monkey, (below) goofin off earlier this year.

One of five in the litter....She was an outstanding example of perseverance...any sign of life, meant hope...and she hoped big. She was very sickly from the beggining with genetic problems passed on from daddyDog. life was really difficult for Monkey, but providence granted her a chance to live, and grow strong and energetic, tho undersized for her breed. She seemed to have overcome every obstacle that prevented her from being a normal dog. She ran and played, jumped and fought, like a little viking..... But just days ago, seizures struck her little life. she had many, days in a row. She was lookin pretty ready to go to heaven, last night; company was here and there, celebrating the season; camp fire, bluegrass in the air; kids laughing and running....She staggered out of her basket, feet swaggering to one side, lettin out random cries of pain, then dropped to the floor belly up..she came to Dad, her favorite, maybe because she knew it wouldn't be much longer.....She died Christmas morning.

...My sincere condolences to Dad.....he really loved his "Tiny".

Doogan boy's gone

Weelll, we got rid of Doogan boy! lol. My bro n I put flyers in our town post office and in other surrounding post offices. And he got picked up today! YAY! ....Mom feels really sorry for the dog. Well, I think he's gonna have a happier life...they said hes goin to 40 acres. Something we dont have :( LOL ;)....God Bless you Doogan boy.

he was probably dropped off close to our house and We took him in. I guess he sensed that our home had some people that have great sensitivity to little doggys that come around. Well, like many many time, we fed him and now he thinks he lives here. Actually he's been here since summer. But he is getting on our last nerve! lol. Blue ticks are very active dogs that DONT like to be idle. (they love hunting!!!!!). we have NO time for a 4th dog in the yard and he is always hogging the doors, barking, and tearing things up. He is, though, VERY friendly, energetic, and ambitious. (a bit frightened...seemed to have been ABUSED in the past....sometimes has snapped a little when strangers approach rapidly).. he definitly still feels like a hunter when he sqeezez out of the gate to search for CATS! [almost every day, !!! ugh lol ] ....(therefore he cannot live in small fenced areas!

Well, if anyone out there knows what ima talkin bout when I say blue tick, yall know how em hunter dogs are. So, heres the number to call:

Thanks giving week......wow

This past week was packed, with stuff outta the ordinary...from monday, to Sunday! I can't sit here and explain full detail...lol..but, yeah, it was a good week. God is good...that why! Well, out THANKSGIVING went great! we went down to Orlando area to play the (no family traditional) annual softball game...(we should more often!!)...and then we went to gmas like usual for the feast! It was a great time!

^^^The Indians in the outfield....Us Pilgrims whipped them on all three games! {CORECTION>>two of the games..} (I was in the winning team!!!)




And I am ashamed to say i barely picked up my fiddle all last week:(:(:(::(.....I knew i hurt his feelings...LOL!!! But I'm back to playing!! And we had a great jamm with the band after church yesterday!!!! yay!!! love it!Speaking of ThanksGiving, Thank God for music!!!!!:)

Canjo workshop in Barberville!

Just two weeks before the Barberville Jamboree, my friend Chris Rose called me and asked if it would be a good idea to bring a canjo workshop to Barberville Nov 7...hmmm. So I contacted the folks that take care of everything, and with very much help from Joe Waller and Harriet Bolin, Chris was able to come and set up his canjo class! I made him some flyers ^^^ so he could spread the news around Barberville Settlement. :) It went fairly well!!! One of the last people I saw leavin Barberville Saturday evening, was a lady with a canjo sticking out of her backpack!! Thats what we're talkin about!!!

Here's my dear sis. :):):) She's the female vocalist in our band. We kinda dared her to, and encouraged her, (and maybe I insisted..lol) and she agreed. On practice sessions and performances she has nothing to do while we go on and on with an intrumental....lol. Shes embarking in a new journey I hope gets far...see, I dream BIG a lotta times. :) So hopefully soon enough she'll get the hang of it!!!!! ---keep it up sis!!!!!!!!

I need to ask myself….am I asleep? Maybe I don’t think so…but maybe I am….In a dream…a phantom Christian life I’m living….Paul says to all of us. WAKE UP!!! it is high time to wake out of sleep! The longer we are in Christ the more we need to have grown. Imagine getting up in the morning and you never totally wake up. imagine if you spend the whole day, eyes half closed with a Sunday afternoon drowse. You would miss about half of what people tell you. If you receive a command you’ll only understand half, or maybe get the concept up side down….We can turn into that, deep in our souls. We’re so sleepy, numbed by distractions…we forget about all the fruits of the Spirit because we’ve become so satisfied and almost enchanted with the low expectations of this culture….The end of the passage gives and awesome statement, “Put on the Lord Jesus Christ”…Ya’ll ever thought of that?….when “Joe” puts on a clown costume for a show…what happens? Joe stays behind. his likings. his dreams…his motives. his actions….he now talks, acts, moves, LIVES, like a clown…..We have to put on The Lord Jesus Christ, yall. Everyday. People out there say, live, love, laugh….ok…Well, we need to Live like Jesus, LOVE like Jesus, LAUGH like Jesus. It’s a whole new outfit. A transformation by the renewing of the mind….because we are not of this world. The passage gets specific at the end…like a finishing touch.. “-and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts”…..I’ve said sometimes in the past… “if only Jesus were here…” well, He is…He lives in every soul that is humble and broken before God, ready, at Command: wake up! it is high time!!!!!! Since Obi will not be performing, *:'(*....we're gonna try to have Jonathan fill in. we were gonna have him play anyway, since we're in need of a full time mando player..but now that Obi is unable to come we really need Jonathan. He arrives the 5th, so we'll only have LITTLE time to get organized. :o!! but i know God will help us ;) ----Jonathan, so glad ur comin down!!!!!!!!! and Hannah too!!!

---honest here...Im Bummed out. Obie looks like he wont be able to perform in the Jamboree this Nov with the Sawgrass Island Loners. He has a 6 hour lab that day for his EMT training. :(:(:(....Yall, please pray somethin happens...He's so my buddy......God knows all things though...doesn't he? :):):) Everything is FINE FINE FINE, thru the sunshine and the rain. Today I went to the 12th Annual Lake County Folk Festival in Downtown Eustis. I was plannin on all my family goin and also my band members but it wasn't workin out. My bro had HORDES of emt homework. One sister was on ride time on the EMT truck all day today and my other sister had her Sat. schedule full with stuff to do. Dad wouldn't come...lol...Mom was my last option. And she was happy to come along with me. I helped her in the kitchen so she could get a few things done and we were out the door. The fest was better than last year...man ...i had a blast...n so did my mom!!! she loved Ashley Gang and we heard the great Morse Family, Jubel's Kin, and Men Of The House!!! WOW!! the only down side was the weather...HOT!! every one was just sweating! it was scorching! But we had an awsome time, just me n Mom. then we went home round 3:30 and we had band practice till the nite!! Can't wait for Nov 7!!! JAMBOREE!!!!
