It was a bright Monday morning as Dad, Obi, and I, headied out to do our regular monday lawn mowin rounds. Drivin down the ol original 452...same hills...same intersections...same country side...Dad was cruisin along prolly between 50-55mph. Obi was dozin off into mornin-in the truck sleepiness..haha..I, was on my phone. texting. (to be specific..it was the Facebook thread..if ya know watta mean).....We approached a very common Apiary/452 intersection. ...So the next thing happened. the first thing I knew, and heard, was the crash...no brakes, no swerves...just right on. then i realized we were in a serious wreck...spinning violently...of course i was screamin. :) ...it was a 4 second ride. when we stopped Dad was tellin us to be carful and Obi was tryna calm me down...i instictively jumped out the window without tryin to open it. (turned out it coudnt be opened!) Once out of the car I realized a mister Sheriff man had missed the stop sign...I knew what had happened...cuz we aint the first to get crashed there. long story short....within minutes there was scores of cops and EMS vehicles and they had blocked the road....we convinced Dad to get a ride to the hospital cuz he was BEAT up. I wanna make this short....we never know when it's our timeto go..it wasnt monday. We're just shaken and happy to be alive. Dad supposedly has no broken bones but his ancle is so swollen he has to use crutches..please pray for my poor daddy. :) here are some pix,.

Dad shattered this back winsheild with his head....he got a few stitches for it
this makes me laugh..the whole grill n all just got destryed, but the headlights are nearly in PERFECT condition! lol

My jaw was literally dropped the whole time I was scrolling through these pictures...you guys are so lucky to be alive (but I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that XD). I'm so glad you guys are still here and in one piece...
ReplyDeleteWow, Gabe. I knew it had been bad when I heard how shaken up Obi sounded on the phone, but I had no idea... I've told you before, y'all will never know how thankful I am that y'all exist, but man, I don't think I've (YOU'VE) ever been so close to losing you guys! *grateful sigh* Makes me eevn more appreciative! Looks like He's not finished with you yet! :)
