DEPENDENCY/ADDICTION

I conducted a little survey on my texting buddies. I sent this text:
"---From a scale from 1-10, how do you rate your dependency/addiction on your phone?---"
I calculated the average from the responses I got, (including my mom) :
7
(not bad huh?)
I got a few number 10s and even a 0, but most were over 5.
Other surveys show that specially young people rather leave their wallet behind than their i-phone!
WOW. Well, we sure have a "dependency" them. I remember back when our house was cell-phone free. Then one came in. (work reasons)...then another...(aw cmon)....now what?
somebody can chose who he/she is goin to communicate with , because we all can be individually reached!
Dads on one side of the house, and (why walk all over there?).....so i text him.....he texts back.
Its a new world of communication. Some folks view it negatively. They say it destroys the beauty of the language. (ya kno watta mean?)...
they say it affects proper communications and relationships bettween people.
It can....
But like with everything new rushing from the horizon, we gotta use it, take it, carefully. and use it well.......cause technology can be used for good....or for bad....
---by the way, I just got a text :)

  1. Very interesting, and so true. Paul says that all things are good, but not all things profit him. Phones are good, but does how much time you spend texting profit you? ITs a good question. What would it be like if we prayed for as long as we texted??? Can you imagine the world? *spark inside spirit turns to a flame* What would happen if we purposed for a week at least to spend DOUBLE the time in prayer that we do texting- or listening to music...? Gabriel, I challenge thee.
