what happens if...I LOSE MY VOICE

I want to speak like I oft did in past days,

singing at every turn of a sweet hour,

My ol heart so longs to run around and say,

I'm over this illness and times so sour!

I got into singin last nite with my buddy bro

I sang louder than a horn i wanted to so,

Got My neighbor out of bed and scared his cat,

I saw him scouting his yard with a Santa hat,

But now I paid the price for if I'de try to speak,

All you'de hear is a *uh hum cah hucks ugh* so weak,

Christmas Caroling is one thing I dearly favor,

But I fear My voice would crack and waiver,

And Id'e be kicked out of the Loner Band,

And Id'e sink deep into the sand!
